Izakaya Restaurant & Lounge Bar

We are Izakaya. A Japanese-inspired, Yorkshire-driven restaurant and bar. An ode to the Japanese beer and yakitori houses, some of which date back to the 1600s. A little piece of Japanese history in York.

Enjoy sashimi grade Tuna, Chicken Yakitori and experimental Japanese dishes on our 2 or 3 course IZAKAYA menu, served midweek evenings and weekend lunches. Once the weekend nights draw in and the lights are dimmed, join us for our OMAKASE menu: A Tasting Menu of sorts. A venture from Danny Victory and Adam Johnson; two York locals intent on bridging relaxed and refined dining.

York Restaurant Week is currently closed but will return 11-17 March 2024. The OFFERS section shows the businesses which took part during our October 2023 event and the food and drink offers made available.
